Agreements
Nothing on a bed is bought alone. Each agreement below is a pair of numbers, or in one case a pair of words, printed on two different listings that have to be compatible. The grid comes first, because a size name that is not filed at all cannot agree with anything.
The Size Grid
| Size name | Mattresses | Bed Frames | Mattress Toppers | Mattress Pads | Nightstands | Whole stack |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Twin | 5 | 3 | 2 | 1 | Nightstands state no size. 9 listings, counted apart. | Complete |
| Twin XL | 0 Twin XL Mattresses: none filed | 0 Twin XL Bed Frames: none filed | 2 | 2 | No Mattresses and Bed Frames | |
| Full | 3 | 3 | 3 | 0 Full Mattress Pads: none filed | No Mattress Pads | |
| Queen | 2 | 5 | 5 | 8 | Complete | |
| King | 1 | 1 | 0 King Mattress Toppers: none filed | 0 King Mattress Pads: none filed | No Mattress Toppers and Mattress Pads | |
| The whole stack is filed in Twin and Queen. It is not filed in Twin XL, Full and King: each of those sizes is missing one or more parts. | ||||||
Six agreements
Twin and Twin XL are not one size
The size name on every part has to be the same name, and Twin and Twin XL are different names.
Mattress height and pocket range
The pocket has to contain the mattress height, and both listings have to carry the same size name.
A topper adds inches to the total
The pocket has to contain the mattress height plus the topper thickness, and every listing in the stack has to carry the same size name.
Pocket ranges that do not line up
A total has to sit inside the pocket of the cover that goes over it, and covers of the same size do not promise the same window.
Frame height and what goes under it
Whatever goes under the bed has to fit the gap below the frame, and that gap is the number the listings leave out.
The word topper and the word pad
The word on a listing and the build of the thing have to point the same way, and in these listings they often do not.
